OSIJEK, June 19 (Hina) - The Osijek County state attorney's office
has requested the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia to provide
assistance in the investigation into the killing of two Croatian
police officers on the Croatian-Yugoslav border.
A group of Yugoslav citizens was caught by a Croatian border police
patrol while illegally crossing the Croatian-Yugoslav border on
the Danube River on June 15.
Two Croatian policemen - Milan Arambasic and Nedjeljko Kocijan -
were killed in the shoot-out which followed.
The state attorney's office said on Friday that its request to
Yugoslavia was sent in line with the Croatian-Yugoslav Agreement on
Legal Aid in Civil and Criminal Matters.
