PODGORICA, June 16 (Hina) - Border patrols of the Yugoslav army at
11am Monday arrested two British reporters who were moving without
adequate permission on Bogicevci Mountain, in the immediate
vicinity of the Yugoslav-Albanian border.
The two reporters are from Reuters and the London-based Times, the
Ministry of Interior Affairs of the Yugoslav Republic of Montenegro
said in a statement Tuesday.
The two reporters did not have adequate permission from the
Yugoslav army to move in the area and were arrested by border
patrols and then turned over to employees of the Montenegrin
Interior Ministry.
During informative talks at the said ministry the reporters said
they had wanted to observe from up close a NATO aircraft exercise
over Albania.
They were released afterwards.
