HDZ MP REQUESTS INVESTIGATION INTO SECURITY OF CRO STATE BORDER

( Editorial: --> 1866 ) ZAGREB, June 17 (Hina) - Janko Bobetko, a retired general and Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) parliamentary representative, on Wednesday requested an investigation into the security of the Croatian state border. Bobetko also requested that responsibility be established for Monday's incident on Croatia's part of the Danube River in Kopacki Rit (Baranja), in which two Croatian police officers were killed. I want the Interior Minister to conduct an investigation and submit a report on who failed to secure adequate border protection, Bobetko said during today's discussion on amendments to the Interior Affairs Law. Speaking about the incident, Bobetko expressed doubt about the security of the state border, asking that its security be established thoroughly in all its sections, especially those towards the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
