UPPER HOUSE TO HOLD 17TH SESSION JUNE 16

( Editorial: --> 9922 ) ZAGREB, June 9 (Hina) - The president of the Croatian National Parliament's House of Counties Katica Ivanisevic Tuesday called the 17th session of the Upper House for June 16, with an 11-item agenda. The Upper House will discuss a report on the execution of the state budget for 1997 and a package of bills by which the implementation of the National Employment Policy will begin. These include bills on means for child's allowance, changes and amendments to the Water Economy Financing Act and the Health Care Act. The House of Counties should also speak about a bill on the official use of language and alphabet used by national minorities in Croatia, changes to the Interior Affairs Act, and a bill on changes to the City of Zagreb Act.
