MOSTAR, May 15 (Hina) - A delegation of the Spanish parliament's
foreign affairs committee Friday visited the southern Bosnian town
of Mostar.
They discussed the situation in the town and the Herzegovina-
Neretva Canton with Croat and Bosniak (Muslim) officials, prefect
Zeljko Obradovic, cantonal premier Ramiz Leto, and associates.
According to the parliament's foreign affairs committee spokesman
Jose Luis Lopez Henares, Spain is willing to assist in the
reconstruction of Mostar.
In the past few days, the Spanish delegation visited both the Croat-
Muslim Federation and the Bosnian Serb entity, advocating the
coexistence of Croats, Bosniaks and Serbs.
Henares said the delegation discussed the situation in Bosnia-
Herzegovina with the international High Representative for the
country, and would notify the Spanish government and parliament
about the talks.
According to Obradovic and Leto, they acquainted the guests with
the structure of the canton's bodies of authority.
The international community's assistance is necessary for the
return of refugees and "ownership privatisation", Leto said.
