DEMOCRACY AND CONSTITUTION SYMPOSIUM COMMENCES IN ZAGREB

( Editorial: --> 5835 ) ZAGREB, May 22 (Hina) - In organisation of Zagreb University's Political Science Faculty and Germany's Goethe Institute, a two day symposium commenced on Friday titled "Democracy and the Constitutional State". Participating in the academic meeting are a dozen eminent German and Croatian experts from the fields of legal and political sciences. Welcoming speeches were made by the German Ambassador to Croatia Volker Haak, Goethe Institute director Wolfgang Eschker, a professor from Zagreb's Political Science Faculty Zvonko Posavec and as a guest, Croatian House of Counties speaker Katica Ivanisevic. The symposium is organised with the financial support of the Croatian Ministry for Science and Technology, the Centre for Legal Studies, the "Open Society" Institute and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation.
