US AMBASSADOR VISITS OSIJEK CITY RADIO

( Editorial: --> 5597 ) OSIJEK, May 21 (Hina) - The Osijek city radio on Thursday began broadcasting a pilot radio show entitled "Satellite Sky". The show is being realised with the cooperation of the "Voice of America" and the BBC. The US Ambassador to Croatia, William Montgomery, deputy to the British Ambassador to Croatia, Sue Laffey, and representatives of Croatian departments at the "voice of America" and the BBC visited the radio station on Thursday. The "Satellite Sky" radio show will present different daily events as viewed by various domestic and foreign electronic media. Applauding the beginning of such a radio show, Montgomery recalled the importance of free and independent media without which, he stressed, there could be no true democracy.
