DUBROVNIK/CAVTAT, May 18, (Hina) - The 3rd Croatian Symposium on
Invalids commenced Monday in Cavtat, southern Croatia, under the
patronage of the President of Croatia, Franjo Tudjman.
The two day conference is organised by the Croatian Association of
Invalids in cooperation with the International Association of
Labour Invalids.
The Croatian President's advisor for human rights, Slobodan Lang,
emphasised that "invalids too are expected to take part in the
building of Croatia", adding that those who plan reconstruction
should consider including invalids.
Deputy Premier Ljerka Mintas-Hodak said this conference is an
excellent opportunity to discuss all that has been done to protect
and help invalids and exercise their rights, but most importantly
to concentrate on the problem of active employment of invalids.
About 200 Croatian participants and guests from Slovenia, Hungary
and Great Britian are taking part in the Symposium.
