MOSTAR, May 9 (Hina) - Sixty thousand Bosnian Serb refugees from the
territory of the Croat-Muslim Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina
have submitted requests to return to their homes.
The requests were submitted to the Serbian Citizens Council of BH,
which held a session Friday.
According to Council Secretary General Milorad Kojovic, the
strategic aim of this non-government and non-party organisation is
the reintegration of the state of BH.
The main condition for that is the return of refugees all over
Bosnia, without imposing the returnees' national reciprocity,
Kojovic said.
About 80,000 Serbs left Sarajevo during 1995 and 1996, the
secretary general said. The majority settled in the Brcko area,
north-eastern Bosnia.
Kojovic believes it is necessary that Serbs from Brcko return to
Sarajevo and Croats and Muslims to Brcko.
