DALJ, Apr 4 (Hina) - Sixteen victims of the Serb aggression on
Croatia have been buried on a Catholic cemetery in Dalj, eastern
Croatia, Saturday.
Their bodies were exhumed on various sites in Dalj between February
26 and 28, 1998.
Among the 16 are 13 Croatian defenders, policemen and civil defence
workers killed in Dalj August 1, 1991, as well as Stjepan Penic, a
reporter for Radio Vukovar, and the dailies Glas Slavonije and
Vecernji List, who was brutally killed on August 6, 1991.
Present at the burial were several thousand people, including
members of civil and military authorities, and Osijek-Baranja
County Prefect Anica Horvat, who said that "sacred victims will
never be forgotten".
