PETRINJA PETRINJA, Dec 15 (Hina) - A film about the danger of mines entitled "We Are the Children of the World Too -- Danger of Mines" was shown at an elementary school in Petrinja (central Croatia) on Wednesday for the first time.
Zagreb's multi-media women's centre "Nona" and the International Red Cross showed the film in which children warn and provide advice to other children about the danger of mines and other explosive devices. International Red Cross representatives said they had implemented an education programme about the danger of mines in 14 Croatian counties for 100,000 people, and had trained more than a hundred volunteers of the Red Cross as lecturers, including children. According to some estimates, there are about one million mines in Croatia in an area of 6,000 squared kilometres, laid during the Homeland War.(hina) lml
