TRIESTE, Dec 12 (Hina) - The Metropolitan of Zagreb and Ljubljana, Jovan Pavlovic, on Saturday forwarded a letter of condolence on the death of Croatian President Franjo Tudjman to the Croatian National Parliament's President Vlatko
Pavletic who is the acting President of Croatia. The letter accentuated steps taken by President Tudjman to normalise relations with the Serb Orthodox Church, because Tudjman's meetings with Serb Orthodox Church dignitaries "were stimulation for reconciliation and forgiving," read the message of Metropolitan Jovan. He stressed that the deceased President Tudjman had shown particular prudence of a statesman this year when he "received the Serb Patriarch Pavle in order to successfully resolve all other problems that refer to the position of the Serb Orthodox Church and its faithful in the Republic of Croatia."(hina) ms
