FOUR RECONSTRUCTED HOUSES GIVEN TO SERB RETURNEES IN GLAMOC

GLAMOC GLAMOC, Dec 2 (Hina) - Four reconstructed houses were handed over to Serb returnees in the Glamoc municipality's village of Perduhovo (south-west Bosnia-Herzegovina) Wednesday. The houses were handed over under the organisation of the Belgian-Luxembourg combat group (CIMIC). Belgian Ambassador to Bosnia-Herzegovina Robert Devriese stressed that this was the first project in the region supported by the Belgian Foreign Ministry to stimulate the return of as many refugees as possible. According to the chairman of the Glamoc municipal council, Bozo Jovicic, CIMIC had so far reconstructed more than 20 Serb homes. A total of 194 Serb families have returned to the Glamoc area, and 400 registered families are awaiting return, he said. Their return to their homes in the Bosnian Serb entity of Republika Srpska and the Bosnian Federation was only in symbolic numbers, so only a dozen returned to their pre-war homes, Damjanovic said.
