ZAGREB, Nov 26 (Hina) - The Croatian Government is to vote on the new motion on a reconstruction programme for the biggest Croatian newspaper publishing company of Tisak next week. The motion was forwarded by the company management.
Tisak officials believe that the motion would prevent Tisak from bankrupting. Tisak debts currently amount to US$80 million. The strike in Tisak, staged between April 21 and 23, was discontinued, due to an agreement reached in the Government, in line with which it was concluded that five Croatian banks (Privredna Bank Zagreb, Hrvatska Postanska Bank, Splitska Bank, Istarska Bank, and the state agency for the financial reconstruction of banks) were to take over the financial reconstruction of the company. A sales contract was also signed, according to which the banks became the owners of 90 percent of Tisak's shares.(hina) it lml
