VRANJIC, Nov 9 (Hina) - Croatia's Development, Immigration and

of the construction of a water management and sewage system in
Vranjic outside Split, southern Croatia.
The construction of these public utilities in the Bay of Kastel,
worth 300 million German mark, should be completed by 2003.#L#
This system called the "Eco-Kastel Bay" will bring long-term
solutions for the high-quality provision of the population with
water supplies. It includes the purification of waste water of
Split and residential area in this bay.
A biggest part of the investment, valued about 160 million marks, is
to be earmarked from the state budget. The World Bank has granted a
loan worth about 65 million marks, while the European Bank for
Development and Reconstruction will give some 75 million through a
loan. The loans will be repaid by higher prices of water supplies
paid by users in this area.
This project is historic and the biggest investment into the public
utilities in Croatia, Minister Radic said.
