PARLIAMENT PARTY BENCHES DISCUSS "FOX" PLAN

ZAGREB, Nov 4 (Hina) - Representatives of Opposition Six party benches at the Croatian National Parliament House of Representatives on Thursday dismissed the report and conclusions by a Commission of Inquiry on the circumstances of the formation of the "Fox" plan, determination of its authors and their motives. The Commission concluded that the author of the plan was the Croatian Social Liberal Party (HSLS), aimed at destroying the ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) and enticing premature parliamentary elections. The report is based on mystification, claims of some deserters from the HSLS, it is the continuation of political manipulation, and the Commission functioned in contrast to the Constitution and law, representatives of the HSLS, Social Democratic Party (SDP), Croatian People's Party (HNS) and the Croatian Peasants' Party (HSS) said during a discussion on the report. According to the HDZ, the Commission performed legal, conscientious and professional work, and the report was written correctly. Zlatko Kramaric (Liberal Party) criticised the fact that it was being said that all members of the Commission had adopted the report. As a member of the Commission, Kramaric stressed he had written he did not completely concur with the basic conclusions, nor with parts of the analysis of the context of "Fox's" formation. Vlado Jurkic was also a member of the commission, who, on behalf of the Croatian Party of Rights (HSP) said that his party can "only take note of such serious, too serious conclusions to such a trivial subject". Vladimir Seks (HDZ), chairman of the Commission, gave rise to a polemic when he said that the initiators of the Commission had fallen into their own trap.
