ZAGREB, Nov 3 (Hina) - Croatian pharmacist on Thursday briefly discontinued to sell medicines paid by the Croatian Health Insurance Institute, as the sign of a protest against unsettled debts of the Institute towards pharmacies. The
protest, staged by about 100 private pharmacies, was joined by several state owned pharmacies. All together 138 pharmacies participated in the protest, the pharmacists' association reported. The association stressed that the Institute owes approximately US$83,000 per pharmacy, adding that business transactions of pharmacies were not possible with the current dynamics of payments, which was 180 days late.(hina) it jn
