Dubrovnik-Neretva County officials said in the letter they were surprised and embittered, adding they were informed of the sale by newspapers and Croatian Radio Television. The officials are dissatisfied that the sale had been conducted despite of an agreement made in June with the Prime Minister and his associates, according to which Dubrovnik-Neretva County, the Dubrovacka Bank, and the southern Adriatic town of Dubrovnik would be authorised negotiators in the sale of hotel capacities.
