A 15-member delegation, led by Finland's Foreign Ministry State
Secretary Jukk Valtasaar, on Tuesday will hand over a demarche to
the Sabor Vice President Vladimir Seks on the election bill, while
on Wednesday Premier Matesa is to receive a protest note about the
cooperation with the ICTY.
The international community was not content with the draft bill on
election which should be discussed by the Government on 28 October.
It also wanted to express discontent over a failure to settle the
issue of the ICTY jurisdiction over investigations into the 1995
"Flash" and "Storm" operations which liberated the biggest part of
the occupied Croatian territory.
A delegation that is to arrive in Zagreb will include a director in
the European Commission's Foreign Affairs Department, Gerhard
Sabathil, said Mirela Rasic, a political advisor in the Zagreb-
based office of the European Commission.
The delegation will consist of representatives of the OSCE, the
Council of Europe, Portugal, which will take the next chairmanship
over the EU and an official from the United States.
Last week, another official of the European Commission, Fabrizio
Barbaso, visited Zagreb.
