safety, tolerance towards returnees and their religious and national identity, had improved. About 250,000 Serbs are currently living in Croatia, and the number of Serbs with the Croatian citizen status amounts to 350,000, including those with Croatian documents living in the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the Republika Srpska, Popovac told the daily. adding "no steps were made in the direction of international
