As the chairing country, Croatia also plans to direct special attention to the navigability of the Danube River which was interrupted by NATO's demolition of a bridge near the Yugoslav town of Novi Sad. According to Grlic-Radman, the obstacle in solving this problem is the fact that Serbia fails to appear at meetings of the Working Community. The Working Community of Danube River Regions includes 24 regions from 11 Danube River basin countries, namely an area of 650,000 square kilometres with about 80 million people. The Working Community of Danube River Regions was founded in 1990, and Croatia has been actively participating since 1991. 8hina) it jn
