ZAGREB, Sept 7 (Hina) - The Croatian Helsinki Committee for Human Rights (HHO) on Tuesday forwarded a letter to the State Attorney Berislav Zivkovic in order to direct his attention to a recent statement by Ante Djapic, the leader of
the Croatian Party of Rights (HSP). Describing Djapic's statement as an act of "inciting the army to a military coup", the HHO reminded the State Attorney of his legal duty to process a perpetrator of crime by virtue of his office. Therefore the HHO expects from Zivkovic to take a prompt action. The HHO maintained that in Osijek on September 3, Djapic in his address to the public "incited the army to carry out a military coup and thus committed a crime of the incitement to treason and violence against top state officials." The State Attorney's Office on Tuesday confirmed that it had received the HHO letter, signed by the HHO Vjekoslav Vidovic.(hina) jn
