SARAJEVO, Aug 17 (Hina) - The ombudsmen in Bosnia's Croat-Muslim federation will get a new assistant whose task will be to follow the situation in the media and how media freedoms are respected, a statement released in Sarajevo said
on Tuesday. The decision to establish the new office was reached by the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Mission to Bosnia and the federal Ombudsmen Office. According to the statement, the aim of the new office is to provide conditions for legally solving cases in which freedom of expression is violated, and to create a climate in which journalists will not be subjected to intimidation and harassment.
