ZAGREB, Aug 30 (Hina) - A committee for founding the Party for a Sovereign and Integral Croatia on Monday said preparations for the establishment of the party had commenced on Saturday. The committee is headed by Kresimir Pavelic and
some members of the former leadership of the Croatian Democratic Party of Rights, which ceased to exist this summer. According to a statement issued by the committee, the establishment of the new party was prompted by Croatia's 'faltering' sovereignty and national independence, which, according to Pavelic, was being undermined by the United States and the European Union. Pavelic told Hina the party had a state-oriented political programme. The party should be registered before the beginning of the election campaign and take part in the elections.
