GOSPIC GOSPIC, Sept 7 (Hina) - The remains of Croatians killed by Yugoslav partisan authorities after the crash of the Independent State of Croatia on April 4 and 5, 1945, were discovered While digging a canal for installing a
subterranean cable along the fence of the Marija Magdalena cemetery, in central Croatian town of Gospic on Tuesday, president of the Lika-Senj County Association of Political Prisoners Ivan Vukic reported. The remains were temporarily taken to the town morgue. According to the association, there are several mass graves in Gospic which contain the remains of Croatian civilians and soldiers killed during World War Two. The Association has already forwarded a request to the Gospic Town Council to mark the site where several thousands of Croatians were killed, namely to relocate the road which runs by the cemetery.(hina) it
