PRISTINA, Aug 27 (Hina) - An American team investigating a mass grave near the village of Ugljare in Kosovo could not confirm Friday whether the remains of four local Serb residents were among the fifteen bodies found at the site.
Investigator Jan Woters told reporters at the KFOR Press Centre in Pristina that his team, working with Austrian experts of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), has not yet completed the investigation and had no information at hand about the identity of the victims, nor their ethnic background. The American war crimes investigation team presumes the victims found near Ugljare had been killed at the time when KFOR was entering the southern Yugoslav province in the first half of June. Spokeswoman for the UN civil mission to Kosovo, Nadia Younes, said
that an agreement had been reached between the Albanian and Serb
sides on joint utilisation of university facilities, in an effort
to stabilise the situation in Kosovo.
