PETRINJA PETRINJA, Sept 1 (Hina) - Exhumations of the remains of Croatian Homeland War soldiers killed by Serbs in 1991 and 1992 will be conducted near the central Croatian town of Petrinja during this week. The first trial
exhumations were conducted near a gas station in Petrinja, and near a restaurant which was called "Stuka" before the war. The two locations are believed to contain the remains of at least 10 victims. The exhumations will also be conducted in Kostajnica, Glina, Zrina, and Struga. According to the president of the Croatian Government Commission for Missing and Detained Persons Ivan Grujic, the light needs to be shed on the fate of another 1,692 persons. So far, 3,003 persons have been exhumed from 120 mass graves in Croatia. Grujic said that exhumations would be conducted at 12 locations in Vukovar-Srijem County next week.
