At a news conference in Sarajevo today, dignitaries presented a document on the matter covering the period from 2004 to 2011.
The document warns that discrimination against and intolerance to the Islamic faithful are a serious social problem in Bosnia.
The paper also reports about the growing prejudices against Muslims, discrimination against them in employment, and not infrequent attacks against mosques and Muslim cemeteries.
The document reads that the Bosnian Grand Mufti Mustafa Ceric was a target of various attacks and that for some time the media have been trying to discredit him.
The community believes that the attacks against Reis-ul-Ulema Ceric would not be possible if they were not supported by certain political structures.
The Islamic Community, therefore, calls on state agencies and authorities to take measures so as to counter discrimination against the Muslims in the public life.
It urges international organisations and representatives operating in Bosnia to more closely follow and try prevent occurrences of Islamophobia in the country.
