We have discussed all issues, the negotiations with the United Nations, the Arab Spring, the Palestinian reconciliation. We have agreed on all topics and reached agreement to continue our consultations before we go to the United Nations, the Palestinian president said.
Bosnia is currently one of the ten nonpermanent members of the U.N. Security Council. Recently, it has been announced that the Palestinian authorities will apply for full UN membership at the General Assembly's meeting in September.
Abbas held talks with the members of the Bosnian tripartite presidency and Foreign Minister Sven Alkalaj. The talks were held behind closed doors.
Alkalaj told reporters that the Bosnian presidency would later consider which stand to take on the Palestinian UN membership bid, expressing hope that a necessary consensus would be reached in Bosnia on the matter.
He hinted a possibility for Bosnia to follow the European Union's policy in this regard.
