THE HAGUE, Aug 12 (Hina) - Bosnian Croat Vinko Martinovic alias Stela, indicted for crime against humanity and war crimes, on Thursday denied charges at the International War Crimes Tribunal (ICTY) in The Hague.

An indictment issued by the ICTY against Martinovic, aged 35 and
another Bosnian Croat, Mladen Naletilic alias Tuta, alleges that
these two men conducted ethnic cleansing in the area of Mostar
during the Croat-Moslem conflict from 1993 to 1994.
The indictment has 22 counts - five of them refer to crime against
humanity, nine are about serious breaches of the Geneva Conventions
and eight refer to violations of customs and laws of war.
Martinovic pleaded not guilty to all 22 counts.
Croatia extradited Martinovic to the Hague Tribunal on Monday. He
was being tried in Zagreb for murder.
