ZAGREB/THE HAGUE, Aug 2 (Hina) - Chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), Louise Arbour, on Monday applauded the apprehension of Bosnian Serb Radomir Cacic, a former deputy commander of
the military police in Foca (eastern Bosnia-Herzegovina), the ICTY said in a statement Monday. I hail the Stabilisation Force's (SFOR) most recent action and commend the professionalism and effort of all those who participated in the arrest of the indictee, Arbour said. Kovac was arrested by French SFOR troops Monday morning. Kovac is included in an indictment entitled "Gagovic and company", issued in June 1996 against eight Serbian soldiers, police and members of paramilitary troops for crimes committed in Foca during 1992 and 1993. Kovac has been indicted for crimes against humanity, more accurately, for the abuse and rape of Moslem women in Foca.(hina) lml
