SISAK, July 30 (Hina) - A proportionally high pollution level of the rivers of Kupa and Sava near the central Croatian town of Sisak (some 40 kilometres east of Zagreb) on July 21 was primarily caused by the release of alkalic
compounds which could have come from oil or petroleum products from the Croatian oil company "Ina", officials of the Croatian Water laboratory in Zagreb reported on Thursday. Sisak police public relations representative Krisitna Juranovic held a press conference in the Sisak Police department on Thursday on a lab analysis and finding the cause of the pollution of the two rivers. The police said it would continue the criminal investigation in cooperation with the section for the water inspection to discover and punish responsible for this act.(hina) it
