LOVAS, July 9 (Hina) - Representatives of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) from New York and Zagreb and of the Belgian government on Friday visited Lovas and Tovarnik, municipalities in easternmost Croatia. They
expressed satisfaction with the progress in the realisation of a joint assistance programme for local farmers, adding it is necessary to invest more in the manufacturing of agricultural products. The UNDP and the Belgian government have to date invested US$166,000 each in the two municipalities. During talks with municipal heads Zeljko Cirba and Marinko Beljo, Paolo Galli of the UNDP said the UN and the Belgian government planned on expanding their activities and finding new ways of assistance.
