SARAJEVO, July 1 (Hina) - Croatian Television (HTV) will on July 1 cease broadcasting three popular US TV shows via land transmitters located on the territory of Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Independent Media Commission (IMC) in Sarajevo
said in a statement on Thursday. According to the statement, the Croatian Radio Television (HRT) management has agreed to IMC's demand of June 10 to stop broadcasting "X Files", "NYPD" and "ER" on Bosnia's territory. Radio Television of Bosnia-Herzegovina (RTV BiH) purchased rights to broadcast the three shows before HTV. IMC representatives reached an agreement on this issue at a meeting with HRT general director Ivica Vrkic two days ago. Following the meeting, Vrkic said HTV intended to sign special contracts with RTV BiH on broadcasting sports programmes purchased by RTV BiH.(hina) rml
