ZAGREB, June 29 (Hina) - The European Commission and its partner Arbciter Samariter Bund have completed the first two projects implemented under the auspices of EUPOP, the European Union's reconstruction and return programme for
eastern Croatia. According to a statement the office of the European Commission's special envoy to Croatia issued on Tuesday, 62 houses have been reconstructed under EUPOP in the municipalities of Ernestinovo and Lovas. Also completed is the reconstruction of the water and power supply systems, and local mine-clearing. The envisaged means for future reconstruction work in Ernestinovo amount to EUR420,000. The statement further said that since 1996, the European Union has granted EUR22 million for the reconstruction of war-affected areas in Croatia.(hina) ha
