DONJI MIHOLJAC, June 28 (Hina) - Farmers continued blocking the Donji Miholjac-Osijek road in the village of Sveti Djuradj (170 kilometres east of Zagreb), a road toward Slatina and a road passing through Magadenovac late Sunday
evening, within their protest organised by the Croatian Farmers' Association. At these sites they obstructed traffic with some 30 tractors and other kinds of farm machinery, said a Vice-President of the Farmers' Association from Donji Miholjac, Stjepan Zivkovic. "We shall protest until our demands are met," Zivkovic told Hina. He added that this morning the Association's central offices had informed him that a meeting between Croatian Premier Zlatko Matesa and farmers was scheduled for 02.00 pm Monday. Demonstrations of farmers in the Donji Miholjac area are proceeding peacefully. Police are present at all protest sites, Zivkovic added.(hina) ms
