VARAZDIN, June 28 (Hina) - Farmers continued with the peaceful protest in Varazdin County on Monday and they are still blocking the road in Vratno which leads toward two border crossings with Slovenia - Dubrava Krizovljanska and
Ormoz. Policemen are showing drivers to use other directions in order to reach these two border passes. Farmers commenced the protest on Saturday with blocking the road at 10.00 am. This action has been organised by the Croatian Farmers' Association (HSS) and supported by other societies of peasants. The Association insists on a meeting with Croatian Premier Zlatko Matesa, after yesterday's meeting with Agriculture Minister Ivan Djurkic in Osijek did not bring satisfactory results and after the Government failed to accept farmers' demands.
