DONJI MIHOLJAC DONJI MIHOLJAC, June 26 (Hina) - The protest of farmers in Donji Miholjac, Osijek County, could not begin at 10 o'clock on Saturday morning as announced, as police prevented peasants from coming out of their yards with
tractors and other equipment with which they wanted to block roads. Some of them, however, managed to reach the road from Donji Miholjac to Slatina and the road to Sveti Djuradj with tractors and a part of other farm machinery. At the road near Sveti Djuradj an incident occurred in which a person was slightly injured. Protesters in Saturday's demonstrations organised by the Croatian Farmers' Association said they would remain on roads until the Government met their demands and until Premier Zlatko Matesa received their representatives.
