ZAGREB ZAGREB, June 21 (Hina) - Having completed a five-month investigation and heard 34 witnesses, the Zagreb County State Attorney's Office filed charges against Vinko Sindicic on May 10. The court in Rijeka, of which the indictee
is a resident, transferred jurisdiction to the Zagreb County Court to hold the trial, and the motion was approved by the Supreme Court the Zagreb County Court said Monday. Sindicic is charged with killing Croatian writer and reporter Bruno Busic in Paris in October 1978, under orders of the then Yugoslav State Security Service (SDS). Sindicic was tried and convicted of attempted murder of a Croatian political emigrant and president of the Croatian State-building Movement, Nikola Stedul, in Scotland in 1998. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
