ZAGREB, June 16 (Hina) - The Zagreb County State Attorney's Office on Wednesday issued a statement saying the Office on Tuesday appealed to a Zagreb County Court decision of last week which okayed the surrender of Vinko Martinovic
Stela to the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in The Hague. The statement said the Hina item which on Tuesday stated that the court's decision had become final following Martinovic's waiving his right to appeal was therefore incorrect. A decision relating to the Zagreb County State Attorney's Office appeal is under the competence of the Croatian Supreme Court, the statement concluded. Martinovic's attorney Branimir Seric on Tuesday said his client had waived the right to appeal to the decision which granted The Hague tribunal's request that he be surrendered.
