VUKOVAR VUKOVAR, May 29 (Hina) - The statute of the Nazareth Virgin Mary arrived in the eastern Croatian town of Vukovar on Friday afternoon. This statues, which departed from Nazareth in March 1998 on pilgrimage throughout the world,
was brought in the war-damaged parish church of St. Philip and Jacob and greeted by the parish priest Branimir Kosec and many parishioners-returnees. This statue is expected in Ilok today. Since its departure from Nazareth, the statute of the Virgin Mary has travelled through 23 states. Its pilgrimage through Croatia will end in Rijeka on May 31.
