ZAGREB, May 14 (Hina) - Croatian Culture Minister Bozo Biskupic on Friday held talks with the mayor of the Austrian town of Graz, Alfred Stingl. The two officials discussed the project "Graz - the European Town of Culture 2003". The
decision on awarding Graz the status of the town of European culture was adopted in May last year by European culture ministers. "We also want to include neighbouring countries in the project, and now is the opportunity to strengthen the cultural cooperation between Graz and Zagreb", Stingl said, adding that cultural ties between the two countries through the Austrian Cultural Institute have been very good so far. The Graz mayor invited Biskupic to attend a ceremony marking the 100th anniversary of the Vienna Opera.
