ZAGREB ZAGREB, May 19 (Hina) - We are impressed by what has been done in Croatia's preparations for the Second World Military Games and we maintain that the Games which are to take place in Zagreb in August will be successful, said
the Vice-President of the international council for military sport (CISM) for Europe, Colonel Leon De Wulf, after he toured venues in the Croatian capital on Tuesday. A 29-member CISM delegation, led by Belgian Colonel De Wulf, has come in Zagreb to be acquainted with the situation relating the organisation of this event less than three months before the start of the Games. Col. De Wulf commended the host for fantastic preparations and the excellent infrastructure and stressed that all delegates would return to their countries satisfied with what they had seen in Zagreb. He added that 6,000 athletes-soldiers from some 90 CISM member-states would take part in the Second World Military Games.

On behalf of the host, Col. Zeljko Gobec spoke about the 54th World
Congress of the CISM, held in Amsterdam, at which Croatia also
presented what had been done so far in the preparations.
As regards the situation in the region, the holding of the Games in
Zagreb is not questionable, Gobec said adding that none of
participants have cancelled their participation.
