MECHELEN, May 8 (Hina) - Croatia's capital Zagreb will be the host of this summer's European senior canoer championship, to be held between 8 and 11 July, and the World junior championship, to take place between 22 and 25 July. This
decision was reached on Saturday in Mechelen, Belgium, by the president of the International Canoe Federation (ICF), Ulrich Feldhof, and ICF secretary-general Otto Bonn. It has also been announced that Zagreb will on July 8 host a congress of the European Canoe Federation, which had been postponed on a previous occasion. The congress was to have taken place on March 27 in the Croatian capital, but was cancelled due to NATO air strikes on Yugoslavia.
