ZAGREB, May 11 (Hina) - Zagreb city authorities held a reception for 40 girls and boys who came from Ukraine to spend holidays in Croatia, within an action "The City of Zagreb to Children of Chernobyl." These kids arrived in Zagreb
last night and will be on vacation in children's resort "Zlatkokrila" in Veli Losinj by May 31. Their holiday and recovery on the Adriatic coast has been sponsored by the Zagreb city authorities and the Zagreb firm for organising holidays for kids "Vladimir Nazor". "By this humanitarian action we want to help children from the Chernobyl area which was hit by nuclear disaster 14 years ago with serious consequences, said Vjekoslav Krizanec, an envoy of Zagreb Mayor. The humanitarian action has been taken at an initiative of the first President of the independent Ukraine, Leonid Kravchuk, the Ukrainian people's embassy and Croatia's Embassy in Kiev, Krizanec said.
