The Foreign Ministry reacted via the Croatian Embassy in Rome to a Corriere della Serra article entitled "Schieriamo i missili in Croazia" (Let us deploy missiles in Croatia). Citing the New York times, the daily said General Wesley Clark had requested that US missiles be stored south of Dubrovnik (south Adriatic). No requests for the deployment of missiles in the Republic of Croatia have been forwarded to Croatia, nor have any kind of consultations been held with relevant Croatian authorities on the matter, the Croatian Embassy statement said.PENTAGON UNFAMILIAR WITH CLARK REQUEST FOR MISSILES SET
