100,000 PEOPLE VISIT SIX SPECIALISED INTERNATIONAL FAIRS IN ZAGREB

ZAGREB, Apr 30 (Hina) - After five days of intensive business activities, presentations, and seminars, six specialised international fairs which were held at the Zagreb Trade Fair (ZV) closed on Friday. The construction, nutrition, agriculture, crafts, mass consumption, and children's fairs gathered 2,245 exhibitors, including 1,114 from 41 foreign countries. Some 100,000 people visited the presentations, including 40,000 businessmen. According to ZV managing director Jurica Pavelic, the overall results have placed the six fairs among ZV's leading projects, despite a smaller number of exhibitors than in the past. Among the outstanding events during the fairs, which included 24 seminars gathering 2,700 participants, Pavelic singled out the international conference "Euro, Europe, and Croatia", and the Craftsmen Forum at which Croatia's Economy Minister Nenad Porges met craftsmen. According to a poll covering more than 250 domestic and foreign exhibitors, a dozen companies have already signed contracts on the sale of machinery in the worth of over DM4 million.
