ZAGREB, April 22 (Hina) - The situation is stable and under control at the border toward the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (Serbia/Montenegro), Croatian Interior Ministry said in a statement on Thursday adding that the situation in
the areas in question has been controlled more closely since the start of NATO operations against Yugoslavia, There are no changes in the traffic via border crossings of Debeli Brijeg and Konfin toward Montenegro. A decrease in the number of passengers who cross into Croatia from Montenegro may have been caused by the control carried out by Yugoslav army soldiers at a check-point which they have set up at a road leading to the border crossings. at the border toward the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia
(Serbia/Montenegro), Croatian Interior Ministry said in a
statement on Thursday adding that the situation in the areas in

operations against Yugoslavia,
There are no changes in the traffic via border crossings of Debeli
Brijeg and Konfin toward Montenegro. A decrease in the number of
passengers who cross into Croatia from Montenegro may have been
caused by the control carried out by Yugoslav army soldiers at a
check-point which they have set up at a road leading to the border
crossings.
The number of transits at open border crossings in Croatian Danube
River Area has been reduced as well.
Two NATO aircraft broke the sound barrier over the southern
Croatian town of Cavtat at 10.25 am Thursday, and local residents
heard it as a strong explosion. Several windows were broken, but
there is no reason for citizens to worry.
The statement reiterated the advice of the Croatian interior and
foreign ministries to Croatian nationals not to travel to
Yugoslavia for security reasons.
