ZAGREB, April 22 (Hina) - The entire peninsula of Prevlaka in the southern Adriatic is a part of Croatian territory, said on Thursday Croatian Defence Minister Pavao Miljavac after some ambiguities and wrong interpretations of the
area occurred. Asked to explain where exactly the Yugoslav army is currently deployed, Miljavac stressed that the area where Yugoslav army soldiers are now situated is a part of Yugoslavia, i.e. its smaller republic of Montenegro. Police of Montenegro are at positions near the border with Croatia, whereas the Yugoslav army has set up its three check-points in the area and is practically controlling roads, he added. He stressed that the area of Prevlaka was being incorrectly interpreted and reiterated that the whole of this peninsula belonged to Croatia. question. As regards the defence, certain preparations have been
done and surprises are not possible, the minister said describing
the situation in the southernmost part of Croatian territory as
absolutely stable.
