DOES MORE THAN 1.8 PERCENT OF CROATS USE INTERNET?

ZAGREB, April 18 (Hina) - According to some estimates, there area between 80,000 and 90,000 registered users of the Internet in Croatia. Of 150,000 million users of the Internet all over the world, about 80 million are in the United States and 35 million are Europeans, read an article in the Telekom magazine. The Internet covers 29 percent of the population in the United States, 18 percent in Great Britain, 8.5 percent in Germany, some 6 percent in France, and 4 percent in Italy. It is interesting that even 31 percent of Finland's citizens and just 0.6 percent of Russians use the Internet. There are no precise data on this matter in Croatia. The most reliable information can be that Croatia has 46,500 "commercial dial-up users". If we take the number of 80,000 Croats who use the Internet, it is then 1.8 percent of the population.
